Mulayam goes soft on UF, will do without Congress

The Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav in an apparent volte face, vowed not to have any truck with the Congress during the coming Parliamentary polls. Mulayam also went back on his words to contest all Lok Sabha seats alone.

Cong blamed for trouble in Jaipur

The Rajasthan chief minister, Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, alleged that the Congress and other anti-BJP parties were "vitiating the atmosphere" in Jaipur to "subserve their partisan ends". He also complained that they were escalating tension in the city.
