Gujjar wins thriller

Chennai, Jan 4: Jodhpur resident Rajendra Gujjar used his fitness, to maximum effect to bounce back from an adverse situation and beat Ranjoth Singh Aneja 2-9, 10-9, 7-9, 9-4, 9-1 in the India Cements-MCC Senior National Squash Championship at MCC, on Sunday. Ranjoth, who was on the verge of going 2-0 up frittered away his chances towards the end of the match.The walkover bug continued on the second day with seven players failing to turn up. Sixth seed Ritwik Bhattacharya (Delhi) had a rest day because G Vishwa Ganesh failed to turn up. Vijay Kumar Singh gave a walkover to Gajendra Rathore of Indore.
