One held for selling "medical" degrees

EXPRESS NEWSLINE
DELHI, January 9: The forgery section of the crime branch arrested Balwant Rai Arora on Thursday for allegedly selling fake Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP) certificates through his un-recognised Delhi Degree College.

The anti-quackery cell of the crime branch registered a case against a quack M. Rehman on receiving a complaint from the Directorate of Health Service, Government of NCT Delhi on November 19, 1997. Rehman, who was running "Rehman Clinic" in the Nand Nagri area, produced his RMP certificate but investigations revealed that the certificate was issued by an unrecognised insititution and that RMP was not a medical qualification.
