Ramji Manchanda was elected unopposed as president of the Market Committee, Sector 19-C, in the elections held yesterday. He polled two-thirds of the total votes.

ICAR approves PU project
The research project of the PU Department of Zoology for the
conservation of fish diversity has been approved by the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. According to Dr M.S. Johal, coordinator of the project, a sum of Rs 13 lakh has been sanctioned for the purpose.
