Rohtas excels
ROHTAS SINGH of Delhi and his team of three amateurs -- S Ramachandra, Ajay Patel and B O Singh -- clinched the Seagram Blenders Pride Pro-Am tournament at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club, today. Rohtas came in with a card of 69 and a score of plus three to grab the winners prize of Rs 10,000. Team-mate Ramachandra emerged best among amateurs with a same card for an aggregate of plus 6.
Yusuf Ali of Calcutta won a special prize of Rs 7500 for coming in with the day's best card of 66, four under for the par-70 BPGC course. Yusuf Ali's team of Uday Mansingh, Nirvean Sidhu and AK Khanna managed an aggregate of plus four. Vivek Bhandhari's team of Amit Dube, Sulakshan Chowgule and Jai Talwar, too had a similar score but were placed second. Vivek Bhandari also had a round of 66. Capt K Harsh and Basad Ali took the special for being closest to the pin while Jaiveer Singh and Jagdish
Angre claimed the prize for longest drive.
