NEW DELHI, January 18: More than 3 days have gone by since 22-year-old Jameel Ahmed from Varanasi climbed the Microwave Tower at the New Delhi Railway Station. Even chilly winds couldn't dissuade him to climb down. According to the police officials, when they talked to him on a loudspeaker he did not respond. According to the locals, not many people gathered this time around. "We know this is a stunt, so what's the use standing there?" said Sunil Kumar, a local resident. "He was fully prepared this time. He has food and water otherwise how could he survive for three days," said Bhairon Singh, the local Assistant Commissioner of Police. According to the police and fire officials, they were not doing anything as they fear that he might jump off the tower.
"Whenever he comes down, we will definitely takesome action this time," added Singh. However, the staff at the central railway tower seemed unperturbed by the the man atop their tower, the entrance to which is restricted.
