Dabur launches Nutrasalt 

 
CHANDIGARH, January 18: Dabur India Limited today launched its low sodium cooking salt, Nutrasalt, here today. The salt has been specially developed by Dabur Research to keep the Sodium intake of the family within healthy limits.

Said Kartik Raina, profit centre head, Dabur Foods: ``Though the product now launched would increase the monthly grocery budget by a meagre amount, its benefits would outdo the minor cost hike''. The product is being test marketed in the City initially.

The company claims that Nutrasalt, having 30 per cent less sodium content than the normal salt, is enriched with Potassium, a mineral helpful in preventing high blood pressure. Dabur officials claimed that studies had proven that against the normal intake of 8-10 grams, an individual was commonly taking 20 grams per day.
