  Gujarat BJP may see another Vaghela
Around 14 MLA's and two MPs have written to L K Advani and Atal Behari Bajpayee complaining of step-motherly treatment meted to them by Modi-Patel camp. They have sent their complaints through former chief minister Suresh Mehta. These MLAs and MPs are suspected to be "moderates and semi-Khajurias not loyal to the party", claim sources.

Mahanta files writ against CBI indiction in LoC scam
In an attempt to contain the political damage caused by his being named in the Letter of Credit (LoC) scam, Assam Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta has filed a fresh writ petition in the Guwahati High Court, seeking to challenge the decision of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to indict him.
No Cong overtures so far: Purohit
Banwarilal Purohit, member of the dissolved Lak Sabha from Nagpur, has reportedly been getting offers from different political parties to contest the ensuing mid-term polls to be held on February 22 next. However, he has firmly denied that the Congress party has given an offer to him.
