CHANDIGARH, January 22: Superb fielding by DAV College, Sector 10 Chandigarh enabled them to win the Panjab University Inter-College men's softball title, third time in row at the PU Campus today. In their last league match they beat Arya College, Ludhiana 2-1.DAV, in their first league encounter defeated Government College for Men, Sector 11, 12-4 and blanked PU Campus 10-0 in the second.
Vijay Thakur and Chander Mohan got one point each for DAV in the match today while Manish scored the lone goal for Arya College.
PU Campus prevailed over GCM-11, 5-4 to win the third place. PU's Swatantra Sharma was the main architect of the win. He got two points in the first inning. Mohinder, Kuldeep and Ajender also contributed one goal each to the score.
