CHANDIGARH, Jan 28: Three college principals and five teachers from Chandigarh have been elected to the Academic Council of Panjab University.The principals include D.P. Singh of Government College, Sector 46, Dr Satinder Dhillon of Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36, and Vimal Bhargava of Dev Samaj College for Women, Sector 45. Nine college principals from Punjab have also made it to the Academic Council.
The three remaining seats will be filled by nominations by the Vice-Chancellor.The elected teachers from Chandigarh include Amrik Singh of GCG, Sector 11; Balraj Thapar of GGDSD College, Sector 36; B.P. Yadav of Government College, Sector 11; Dr Dalip Kumar of GCG, Sector 42, and Shinder Pal Singh of SGGS College, Sector 26.
