103 liquor bottles seized; one held

The city police have arrested Gurnam Singh, alias Lakha, following the recovery of 103 bottles of country liquor from his possession. Gurnam Singh was travelling in a Maruti van (PB-10-B-0243) when he fell in the police net.

Matador stolen from Sector 26

Paramjit Singh, a resident of Sector 35, has reported the theft of his Matador (CHW 8156) from Sector 26. A case has been registered.

Stabbing case

Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Ram Darbar, was allegedly stabbed by Sector 47 resident Sali and two accomplices on Tuesday. The police have registered a case under Sections 324 and 34 of the IPC.

Assault alleged

Suresh Kumar, a resident of Labour Colony, Sector 31, reported to the police that he was assaulted by Arjan Singh near his residence. Kumar was admitted to the Sector 32 GMC.
