UP denies revoking Babri cases

LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh Government clarified on Wednesday that it had not withdrawn any case relating to the demolition of Babri Masjid in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992. Officials said out of the 36 cases withdrawn by the Government, only 19 were related to the Ayodhya movement and these pertained to incidents that occurred before and after the demolition of the mosque.

NEW DELHI: The Air Traffic Controllers have deferred their proposed agitation following the beginning of talks between the AAI and Guild.According to Guild's General Secretary, Brajendra Shekhar: ``We met the Chairman today and have begun negotiations.''.

NEW DELHI: Delhi High Court on Wednesday extended its interim stay on the Central Administrative Tribunal's (CAT) order quashing the Central Government decision to grant extension to TSR Subramaniam as the Cabinet Secretary, and allowed him to continue in office till March 17.
