JAMSHEDPUR, February 4: Two new national records were made on the inaugural day of 50th men's and 13th women's Senior National weightlifting championships which started today.Both records were made in 48kg women category by the 32-year-old champion N Kunjarani, a CRPF inspector and the women's team leader of All-India Police Services. Kunjarani, in jerk, lifted 102.5 kg followed by 105 kgs.
After being declared champion today in the 48 kg category, Kunjarani earned the laurel consecutively for the fourth time in weightlifting in her class.
