Fed up with "false" theft charges, worker ends life

February 4: A worker employed with a Zaveri Bazar goldsmith committed suicide by hanging himself with his towel at his residence at Chunabhatti early this morning. According to the police, the deceased Sajadali Majadali Shaikh (33) was found dead in his room at Rahulnagar slums in the early hours today by his wife. Shaikh was found hanging to the ventilator.

The police said that the incident occurred before 6.00 am as the complaint was filed at 6.30 am. Police further said Shaikh had left a suicide note that he was ending his life as he was fed up with constant charges of theft made by his employer a few days ago and added he was innocent.
