NEW DELHI, Feb 6: Feuding in the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Madhya Pradesh state unit has forced Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia, the party's candidate in Guna, to contest the elections in spite of her age and failing health. The Rajmata was said to be reluctant to contest elections. However, she will have to contest as the nomination papers of her dummy candidate, daughter Yashodhara Raje, have been rejected. If Rajmata does not contest, the BJP will lose the seat by default.
Although Yashodhara Raje is believed to be keen to assume her mother's mantle, she is said to be facing opposition from factions in the MP BJP unit.
