MUMBAI, February 7: Agnel Gladwin and GK Shweta won the titles in the boys and girls under-10 sections of the Bhatija Open Tennis Tournament at the Khar Gymkhana here today.Agnel, the third seed blanked qualifier Bhavik Selarka 6-0, 6-0 while Shweta, the top seed, also won by a similar margin over second seed Moneeza Siddiqui 6-0, 6-0.

BOYS under-16 (SFs): Pratim Parikh bt Amit Karunakaran 6-1, 6-1; Gavryl Fernandes bt Gaurav Kumar 4-6, 7-5, 6-4.
Under-12 (SFs): Kiran Rastogi bt Rohan Shewakramani 6-0, 6-1; C Akshay bt Vivek Menon 6-4, 6-3.
Under-10 (final): Agnel Gladwin bt Bhavin Selarka 6-0, 6-0.
GIRLS Under-16 (SFs): Liza Pereira bt Mayura Bandekar 6-2, 1-0 (Mayura conceded due to injury); Sonal Phadke bt Isha Lakhani 6-0, 6-7 (5-7), 6-3.
Under-14: Noopur Desai bt Ronak Shah 7-5, 6-4; Isha Lakhani bt Johann Fernandes 7-6 (7-2) 6-2.
Under-10 (final): GK Shweta bt Moneeza Siddiqui 6-0, 6-0.
Kang, Philip lead
The BombayPresidency Golf Club pair of KJS Kang and Sonia Philip came home with 43 points in the Digjam Golf tournament, a better ball stableford event on full handicap, sponsored by SK Birla group, at the United Services Club Course here today. They lead the list of 78 who teed off today. The remaining 120 in the field will tee off tomorrow.
Kang and Sonia are followed by Nohar Nath (8) and P Chadha (13), SL Mehta (14), SD Nayyar (20) and Shivas Nath (7) and HS Bedi (12), all collecting 42 points and placed in that order following a countback.
The leading pair, who went out in 16 with one birdie, were at their best on the return journey, shooting six birdies in a row, then a par, an eagle and ending with a birdie.
MLWB down L&T
Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board, Goregaon, scored a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Larsen & Toubro in the Bombay Hockey Association Second Division League at the Mahindra Stadium, today.
It was L&T who took the initial lead in the 15th minute through Gordon Trinidade. But MLWBrestored parity five minutes later through Sainath Rao. The two were level 1-1 at the breather and on resumption MLWB put the issue beyond doubt thereafter through goals by Steven K and Rajesh Pote. The other goal for L&T was notched by Anselm D'Silva.
Earlier in Pool B of the Fourth Division, Mumbai Railway Police outplayed Fatima Sports 6-1. Kishore Raje Bhosle (2), Firoz Pathan, Arvind Khade, Zakir Killedar and Suman Gurav scored for the winners. James Murzello reduced the margin for Fatima.
IDBI prevail
IDBI team, with the players of the calibre of Nandini Kulkarni and Swapna Ratnakar in their ranks, trounced Central Excise 3-0 in the Women's first Division of the Inter-Offices/Club/Gymkhana Table Tennis League match at the University Stadium here today.

Bhoir nets both
A brace by Harish Bhoir enabled Nabram Sports Club to pip Atlas 2-1 in Pool F of the WIFA Third Division League at the Cooperage, today. Patrick Fernandes scored for Atlas.
In Pool G of the Second Division, a goal by Kenneth R turned out to be the match-winner for JNPT against Tarun Sporting.
Maru, Mhatre in final
Ankit Maru of Mumbai and Devendra Mhatre of Taebok Academy (Pune) entered the final of the 31 to 36 kg category in theIndependence Cup Taewondo Championships at the RCF Sports Complex, Chembur, today.
Earlier in the 26 to 31 kg section, Dattatraya Vibhute of Pune's Horangee Academy and Nishant Bhosle of Mumbai qualified for the finals.
