Simpson not available for series against Australia
Australia's former coach Bob Simpson yesterday categorically denied that his role as the Indian cricket coach will not pressurise him into plotting his country's downfall as the leading Test cricket team. Simpson, who coached Australia from 1986 to 1996 is likely to be in India to hold talks with the Indian board to finalise the details of his role.
Soccer coaching detrimental to health, says study
Football coaches -- at least those in the German Bundesliga -- are living dangerously, according to a study by medical researchers. The permanent stress of watching their teams from the sidelines is leading to stomach ulcers, metabolic disorders and a weakening of the body's immune system. Life expectancy of the Bundesliga trainer is considerably shorter than the average persons, says the Aachen-based sports physician Dr Joachim Kugler.
