  Dodi found in me a soul mate, says Diane
The woman who claims she and Dodi Al-Fayed had a secret love child bombarded his father with letters explaining how she won her son's heart despite being "too old, too fat and too ugly". In one letter, Diane Holliday, 36, attempted to convince Mohamed Al-Fayed of her and Dodi's relationship by saying he had found in her someone to talk to.
  Life in plastic, is not fantastic!
The green in the Army uniform is showing, and with the College of Military Engineering (CME) banning the use of plastic within its campus, this time, it spells environmental concern. The momentous decision taken last week makes the CME among a handful of establishments across the country to have taken a concrete step to do something about the problem of non-biodegradable plastic.

21-year-old Swapna Patel is petite and attractive, and has been working at The Pride Hotel for the past two years. This is her first job after receiving a diploma in Hotel Management from the Bharati Vidyapeeth. ``Standing for hours in high-heels, keeping the pleasant smile in place and acquiescing to all the visitor's demands...these are just some of the essential duties,'' she says.

The Cantata Choir, founded by Joachim Buehler, the ex-director of Max Mueller Bhavan, is celebrating its silver jubilee this year. The choir will perform `Elijah' -- an oratorio by Mendelssohn. Based on a Biblical text, it was first performed in Birmingham in 1846, and was one of Mendelssohn's greatest achievements.
An eye for detail
Most of us like collecting things, whether books, glass ware, coins or just stones of different shapes and sizes. We walk into a shop and buy something beautiful, bring it home but are at an absolute loss as to how to display it. In the shop there was space enough to do full justice to the ornament. At home the tendency is to plonk it anywhere and hope for the best.
