Komen clinched the record with an astonishing time of 12 minutes 51.48 seconds -- knocking nearly eight seconds off the world mark of 12:59.04 set by Gebrselassie here last year. Just 13 ago, Komen also beat the Ethiopian's world indoor 3000 metres record with a time of 7:24.90 in Budapest.
Wrestlers die trying to lose weight
ALTANTA: Three American college wrestlers died after they tried to lose weight by not drinking fluids and exercising while wearing rubber suits, Federal health officials said. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said the wrestlers were trying to reduce their weight for the competition season. The college students had restricted their intake of food and fluids, and worn rubberised suits under cottonwarm-up suits while vigorously exercising in hot environments, the CDC said.
