EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
MUMBAI, February 20: Archana Venkatraman has replaced Uzma Khan as one of the wild card entries in the $ 10,000 American Express International Tennis Federation women's circuit tennis tournament to be played here from February 23.

National Grass Court champion Uzma has pulled out of the tournament in order to play in a Grade III tournament at Dhaka, according to All-India Tennis Association (AITA) supervisor Dushan Deo.

Arati Ponappa and Sai Jayalakshmi are the other two wild cards while national hardcourt champion Rushmi Chakravarthi and Jahnavi Parekh have been given direct entries.

Fourteen players -- including 10 Indians -- will play the two-day qualifying rounds starting tomorrow for the four slots that will take the total number of entries to 32, including 25 direct and three wild cards.
