Antony for tie-up with pro-Cong parties in UF

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
KOCHI, February 20: Congress Working Committee member AK Antony has said that his party would be willing to align with those constituents of the United Front which are not "anti-Congress" to form a Government at the Centre.

While talking to media persons here on Thursday, Antony, however, declined to identify the UF constituents whom he considered to be pro-Congress. He also parried a question as to what was the point in the Congress and such UF constituents fighting each other during election if they were to join together to form a Government after the election.

"Anti-Congressism has become outdated. Formation of a government with support of parties from outside too is a closed chapter", he said, adding that under no circumstance would the Congress take support from the CPM.

Asked if he shared Kesri's view that the RSS was behind the bomb blasts in Coimbatore, Antony said he would not like to comment on the issue since the matter is to come up in the court (following the defamation case by RSS).
