Khoda cracks 181

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
LAHORE, MARCH 1: Skipper Gagan Khoda struck an unbeaten 181 (304b, 360m) and raised an unfinished 179-run third wicket stand with Abbas Ali (67: 134b, 205m) to power India `A' to an imposing total by close of the opening day's play of the third `Test' against Pakistan A at the Gadaffi Stadium today.

Khoda led from the front justifying his decision to bat with a 108-run foundation for the first wicket with Wasim Jaffer (34). Though Jaffer and Jatin Paranjpe (2) departed in quick succession, Khoda found an able ally in Abbas Ali to take the fight into the rival camp.

The Rajasthan opener in the company of Jaffer negotiated with aplomb the opening attack led by Pakistan paceman and skipper Aaqib Javed and Sajid Shah.

However, Jaffer departed trying to hit leg-spinner Ali Rizvi and was stumped by wicket-keeper Farhat in the post-lunch session.SCOREBOARD
