  Bull rally loses steam on bourses
The bull rally came to an abrupt halt on the stock markets as wary market players unloaded shares fearing yet another round of political uncertainty. The Sensex which soared by 150 points on Monday plummeted by 126.61 points on sustained selling pressure on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
  Indian Hotels to disinvest stake in C&K
Indian Hotels, operators of Taj group of hotels, has decided to detach all links with the Kerkar family by disinvesting in Cox and Kings where it is holding 26% stake through its subsidiary, Piem Hotels. The company has offered the shares back to the present promoters in quid pro quo of 1.6% stake held by C&K in Piem.

ICICI plans to launch Rs 800 cr bonds issue
The Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India (ICICI) has launched a new series of bonds aimed at the individual investors. ICICI plans to raise Rs 400 crore with the right to retain oversubscription of upto Rs 400 crore. The issue will open on March 16 and close on March 25.
Pool outcome may prompt Moody's to downgrade India
Possibility of a hung parliament and the prospects of a definite slowdown in the economic reforms process on account of unclear verdict by the people, will jeopardise the chances of India getting a favourable treatment by the international credit rating agency Moody's which has declared its intention to downgrade the country's rating.

DSP Merrill Lynch MF to unveil liquidity fund
DSP Merrill Lynch Mutual Fund is launching an open-ended liquid fund - DSP Merrill Lynch Liquidity fund, on March 6. The scheme will be open for initial subscription from March 6-9 and will reopen for subscription and redemption on an on-going basis from March 16.
UK touch for plantation schemes
The SEBI-appointed Dave panel, formed to look into the regulation of collective investment schemes, will follow the UK model to define such schemes with the provision that monies mopped up from such schemes are used only for investment business.
