BJP-HVC meets HP Governor for Govt formation
Himachal Pradesh BJP chief P K Dhumal along with Himachal Vikas Congress (HVC) president Sukh Ram today met Governor V S Ramadevi at the Raj Bhawan here and conveyed that their combination with the support of the only Independent legislator commanded a majority of 33 MLAs in the House.

Polling in Udhampur postponed
Polling in Udhampur constituency in Jammu and Kashmir has been postponed to March 18 following inclement weather. The counting of votes for Udhampur will be held on March 21.
Left vows to keep BJP at bay
The Politburo of the CPI(M) today declared that it would do everything to stop the BJP from forming a government at the Centre. ``The Politburo wants that all efforts should be made to stop the BJP forming a government as it hasn't got a majority,'' Politburo member Prakash Karat said.
