  BJP triumphs in Jammu-Poonch, NC gets Srinagar
Congress suffered a setback losing two Lok Sabha seats in J&K to BJP and National Conference as counting of ballots for two more parliamentary seats in the State was in progress. BJP wrested the Jammu-Poonch seat from Congress when its candidate Vaid Vishno Dutt trounced Janak Raj Gupta of National Conference by 1,27,901 votes.

Naidu to decide TDP's stance
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been authorised both by his council of ministers and the Telugu Desam Party politburo to take any decision on the role of the party at the national level which would not damage the secular image of the TDP. Naidu held extensive consultations yesterday with his Cabinet colleagues and party leaders on the options before the TDP in the post-election scenario.
