March 22: The Diamond Jubilee High School for Boys at Mazgaon and for girls at Dongri celebrated their golden jubilee recently. The schools were established 50 by Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah to cater to the educational needs of the lower and middle income groups.Chief guest V-C Dr Snehalata Deshmukh said education's objective should be to create a ``perfect social being''. The chairperson of the Development Credit Bank Ltd, Naushad I Padamsee praised the networking process which is being fostered by Aga Khan Education Service, India. Through the International Academic Partnership, the Diamond Jubilee schools are connected with the Phillips Academy in Boston, USA, thereby sharing experiences in the teaching-learning process.
