A regular bonny baby was delivered in Jaipur through the In-Vitro Fertilisation and Embryo Transfer (IVF-ET) or "test-tube" technique -- only that the mother turned out to be a woman with a genetically male constitution. This rare incident of medical history occurred on February 16 at the Jaipur Fertility Centre.

A 160-km stretch in the upper part of the Ganga between Bijnor and Narora Barrage in Uttar Pradesh is soon to be declared as a dolphin sanctuary. According to the World Wild Life Fund for Nature (WWF), almost all the paper work in this regard is over and the new government at the Centre will only have to issue the notification.
