Dismiss Rabri Govt in a month, demands SP

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
PATNA, April 4: The Samata Party (SP) today urged Prime Minister A B Vajpayee to dismiss the Rabri Devi Government in Bihar by next month, suggesting that the Centre should not feel shy of using Article 356.

Party secretary general Shivanand Tiwari said they would insist on sacking of the RJD regime after they submitted a charge-sheet against the Government to the Prime Minister and the President by April 20. If the Centre didn't dismiss Rabri, it would be betraying the people of the State, Tiwari added.

He held that Article 356 should be used as Bihar government was committing irregularities. Tiwari urged Vajpayee to constitute a committee to verify his allegations. Tiwari also criticised Bihar Governor A R Kidwai, charging him with accepting favours from Laloo Prasad Yadav in return for services rendered to him. He pointed out the nomination of Rabri's brother Sadhu Yadav to the State Legislative Council as an example of the Governor's complicity.
