Ruhee Berde, nee Padma Sawant, wife of comedian Laxmikant Berde, died at Leelavati Hospital, Bandra on Sunday following a brain hemorrhage she suffered a week ago. Ruhee, a stage actress, was spotted by Manmohan Desai who introduced her in the Shashi Kapoor starrer Aa Gale Lag Jaa. But she made it big in Marathi films starting with Jawai Vikat Ghene Ahe. After her marriage, Ruhee had quit films.

Hazare releases `evidence'

Social worker Anna Hazare released `evidence' against former agriculture minister Shashikant Sutar on Monday.

The evidence, compiled in a book called Vaibhavshali Sutarkaam, `prove' all charges of corruption against Sutar, said Hazare.
