Ganga Auto seeks Rs 104 cr from Maruti

ENS ECONOMIC BUREAU
NEW DELHI, April 9: Ganga Automobiles Limited (GAL), promoted by G Sagar Suri, has served a legal notice on Maruti Udyog Limited claiming Rs 104-crore damages for losses due to the termination of its dealership licence.

Speaking at a press conference here on Wednesday, G Sagar Suri, chairman, GAL, said that the Delhi-based dealership had made large investments to set up facilities including two showrooms at Green Park Extension, two workshops, renovation and rent of the show-rooms. These facilities were designed according to Maruti Udyog specifications. The dealership ceased to operate from April last year. Ganga Auto has also termed the termination as a breach of the agreement signed between the two companies.
