Bhagyashree wins first round

SINGAPORE, April 9: India's former national champion and International Women's Master Bhagyashree Thipsay defeated Lee Wing Lan of Macau in the inaugural round of the 11-round Asian Women's chess championships here today.Earlier, the Chrompet team from Chennai drubbed a Brunei team (4-0) in first round of the eleven-round Asian Cities Chess Championship.
