Six more bus passengers freed in Tripura

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
AGARTALA, April 9: Mrinal Debnath is one of the lucky few set free by the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) militants, who kidnapped 12 bus passengers in Tripura on Wednesday. The militants released six passengers today.

Debnath said, ``The militants released me because I am neither a Government employee nor a businessman.'' The hijacking of the bus, on its way to Guwahati from Agartala, with 30 travellers was the first major militant attack on a passenger bus since the imposition of the Disturbed Area Act.
