State relief for family of man shot `by mistake'

NOIDA, April 11: The state government has announced compensation of Rs one lakh to the family of Mohammed Yameen Kurashi who was shot dead ``by mistake'' by a police constable on the night of April 6 in Latifpur village.Samajwadi Party leaders attended a condolence meeting yesterday in village Rabupur where Yameen used to stay.Chief of the Uttar Pradesh unit of Samajwadi Party Ram Sharan Das and leader of the opposition in the state Legislative Council Ahmed Hassan also attended the condolence meeting.
