CALCUTTA, April 11: Railway Coach Factory, Kapurthala will meet Army XI in the semifinals of the 103rd Beighton Cup hockey tournament at the Mohun Bagan Ground on Monday. In the second semifinal on the same day, Border Security Force will take on Punjab Police.In the deciding quarter-final league matches played today, RCF defeated Chitaranjan Locomotive Works 4-0 to storm into the last four stage as the Group A toppers. Punjab Police, who defeated Bangladesh XI 4-2, were the runners-up. Although both the teams have identical points, RCF finished with a better goal difference.
In Group B, tie-breaker decided the outcome of the Army XI-BSF match after it ended 2-2 in normal time. Although both had already qualified for the semifinals, the tie-breaker was enforced to decide the group leader. Both had identical points and goal difference after the normal time.
