Police stop Ila Arun's live show

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
MUMBAI, April 12: The first live concert by singer and actress Ila Arun held at the SNDT grounds night was curtailed by the police on Saturday.

Arun had sung only two songs when the police ordered curtains down on the much publicised show called `Sandstorm' at 10 pm. Despite the singer's pleas with the authorities that she be allowed some more time the authorities did not relent. The police stated that they were enforcing the high court directive that no entertainment show be allowed beyond 10 in the night. The crowd and the artistes had to return without listening to Arun's songs. The show was organised in aid of the Cancer Patients' Aid Association.
