A couple of days back, a demolition squad had razed a multi-storeyed building allegedly built by Ghag in violation of all regulations. Bhatankar was at a demolition drive to remove unauthorised structures in Wagle Estate locality on Thursday evening when Ghag arrived on the scene. he allegedly abused the civic employees and pulling out a revolver, threatened to shoot them.

Following the incident, the DMC registered a complaint with the Wagle Estate police station under Sections 333, 506 (2) of the IPC for preventing a government officer from doing his duty and abusing and threatening him.
