SYDNEY, April 12: India suffered their second straight reverse when they went down 2-5 to Australia after an early lead in the four-nation Colorado Cup hockey tournament at the Homebush Hockey Facility today.Forward Virender Singh gave India a flying start with a fifth minute goal and Devinder Singh, who scored both goals in India's 2-1 win over New Zealand, found the mark in the 21st minute.
However, India failed to cling on to the early advantage as star Jay Stacy struck a hattrick through penalty corners (32nd, 46th and 68th minutes) after Jeremy Hiskins (14th) and Stephen Davies (28th) scored as the hosts led 3-2 at the halftime.
Argentina defeated New Zealand 2-1 in another tie today.
