ITC claims bridge title

MUMBAI, April 13: ITC comprising Anand Mehta, Jitu Solani, JM Shah, Anil Pandhye and Rajesh Dalal bagged the Chembur Gymkhana Anuul Bridge Championship with a great ease. The event saw 32 teams participating in this introduced tournament. ITC Tolani A (173 VPs), Sunil Macchhar (147 VPs) and Parasrampura (137 VPs) qualified from a 8 rounds Swiss League to play a 12 boards round robin.The scores at the end of a round robin: 1) ITC 63 VPs ; 2) Sunil Machhar 47 VPs ( Sunil Machhar, R Shreedharan, Raju Tolani, Vinay Desai, Ajay Khare, Prakash Dalvi; 3) Parasrampuria 46 VPs (B Parasrampuria, Dr Vahalia, Rajmohan, Subhash Dhakras, NH Ukidave; 4) Tolani A 23 VPs (Ramavatar Agrawal, Bishwas, Arvind Vaidhaya, Dr Mukund Jagannathan).
