BSF man sacked for molesting woman

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
Srinagar, April 18: A Border Security Force (BSF) constable here has been dismissed after he was found guilty by court martial of molesting a woman, a BSF spokesman said today.

A 22nd battalion BSF court martialled constable Sumer Singh yesterday. The constable was accused of molesting the woman at Ganpatyar in interior Srinagar last month, he added.

Meanwhile in Jammu, more than 12 vehicles were damaged in stone pelting in different parts of the city today as the Jammu joint action committee (JJAC)-sponsored bandh entered the fourth day here.

The indefinite bandh has been called in protest against the alleged discrimination by government towards Jammu region. Activists of JJAC pelted stones on passing vehicles at Bari Brahmna, New plot, and Canal areas to enforce the bandh, police said.
