Silver down

 
MUMBAI: Silver prices reacted on the bullion market here today on fresh arrivals of raw silver coupled with weak London advices. Gold eased further moderately on poor demand.

Ready silver of .999 fineness and tenderable silver fell by Rs 15 each to settle at Rs 8,780 and Rs 8,785 from the last close of Rs 8,795 and Rs 8,800 respectively, while raw silver eased by Rs 5 to close at Rs 8,670 from Rs 8,675.

Standard gold softened by Rs 5 to Rs 4,205 from Rs 4210, while 22-carat gold was nominally quoted lower at Rs 3,890 as against the previous close of Rs 3,895. Ten-tola gold bar of .999 purity declined to Rs 49,300.
