`Performance of the Sena-BJP govt has not been up to the mark'
Manohar Gajanan Joshi, 61, has completed three years as Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Joshi is the first to do so after after Vasantrao Naik but the distinction came wrapped in disaster. "I understand my limitations," he admits, "But I am sure that I will be able to fulfil my responsibilities with the help of other leaders. Thesis, antithesis, synthesis
Now that we have two BJPs, it's all very confusing. There was, as we know, an Old BJP. It spoke a familiar language and, in case we didn't quite understand what it stood for, went on to pull down a mosque or two just to make things clearer. Then we were reliably informed that there is this spanking new model, the New BJP, that speaks a wonderfully evolved new language full of gentle-on-the-mind words.
