Streamlining figures high on JD's to-do list
The Janata Dal yesterday resolved to tone up the party and prepare for a nationwide agitation against the "anti-people" policies of the BJP-led government. "The Janata Dal must, in the coming months, accord high priority to streamlining its organisation as an effective instrument to work and fight for people's problems," a resolution adopted at the party's national executive meeting said.
Thackeray case adjourned to June
The defamation case filed by Chhagan Bhujbal, leader of Opposition in the State Legislature Council, against Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray and two others has been adjourned to June 16.
