Live artillery shell found in well

PUNE, April 21: A live artillery shell, about 16 inches long and a three inches in diameter has been found from a well in Khandave vasti area of Lohegaon.The shell was found while some labourers were desilting the well last afternoon. Panicking, they kept quiet about the incident. Khandve, tipped off the Yerawada police about the incident this afternoon. A team of experts from the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad of Pune police led by Inspector Pravinkumar Kole later took possession of the shell.
