Afghan peace talks on Saturday

Islamabad, April 22: Representatives of Afghanistan's Taliban militia and their rival northern alliance will open formal peace talks in Islamabad on Saturday, UN sources said here on Wednesday.The five-member Taliban delegation will be led by the Islamic militia's senior spokesman Mulla Wakil Ahmed Mutawakkil while the nine-member northern alliance team will nominate its leader on arrival here later, they said.
