It adds that their representative had made a statement in the UN Human Rights Commission voicing their concern over the situation of the Tibetans and underlining the importance of respecting their religious and cultural identity.
Tseten Norbu, president of the Tibetan Youth Congress, expressed gratitude to the Norway Government for the message and said:``Our organisation and the six youths on strike are deeply touched by this kind and humanitarian gesture from the Norway government.'' Meanwhile, the `Tibet Freedom' organisation has also sent a letter of solidarity to the Tibetan Youth Congress and the youths on fast. In its letter, the group has also appealed to the UN, the international community in general and countries like the United States, UK, France, Germany and China in particular to listen to their demand.
