India's bid for UN seat unfair, says Sharif
Pakistan Premier Nawaz Sharif has expressed his strong opposition to India's candidature for a permanent seat of the United Nations Security Council because of, what he called, its "failure" to accept UN resolutions on Kashmir considered by New Delhi as outdated.

US ready to write off Pak debts over F-16s
The United States has proposed to write off a proportion of Pakistan's foreign debt equalling to the amount Washington is supposed to refund for the F-16 aircraft while in return Pakistan should drop the threat of dragging the US to court.

US sells missiles to Saudi Arabia, Israel
The US Department of Defence has announced the proposed sale of missiles to Saudi Arabia and Israel at a cost of 143 million dollars. According to the announcement, the Arabia will get a "possible upgrade" of 1,500 AIM-9l missiles and other support equipment and Israel will get 64 AIM-120B advanced medium range air-to-air missiles (AMRAAM), three test missiles, missile containers, spare and repair parts, support and test equipment.
