Inaugurating the 71st All India Marathi Literary Conference here, he said ``language'' grooms ``culture'' and any literary conference is a matter of pride in one's culture.

Noted story writer D M Miraasdar accepted the presidentship of the Conference. He promised to work for the cause of the Marathi language during his tenure.
