CHANDIGARH, April 24: Godrej Cricket Club entered the quarterfinal of the Third Gursagar Silver Cup Cricket tournament at Gursagar ground near Sukhna Lake today as their opponents Pace Cricket Club failed to turn up.In tomorrow's match AG Youngster (Ropar) will take on Mohali Younsters at 8.a.m.
AAAC meeting cancelled
`Flying Sikh' Milkha Singh, president of the Amateur Athletic Association Chandigarh has cancelled the annual general body meeting convened by Shangara Singh, secretary of the association, on April 26 at 11 a.m. at the Sector 7 Sports Complex. He has termed the AGM as `illegal' since he was not consulted by the secretary before calling the meeting as per the association constitution.
Milkha Singh has advised the affiliated units not to attend the illegal meeting convened on April 26. The AAAC president will finalise the new date after consultation with the office-bearers.
