Industries urged to help build social infrastructure

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
AURANGABAD, April 26: Vice-President Krishna Kant on Sunday appealed to industrial houses to pool their resources and create a chain of high-tech hospitals, specially in backward regions, and join hands with the government in creating a social infrastructure that will go a long way in bringing succour to the underprivileged.

He was speaking at a function to inaugurate the Seth Nandlal Dhoot Charitable Hospital, built by the Videocon Group of Companies in memory of the founder of the group, Nandlal Dhoot. The 200-bed super speciality hospital presently houses the departments of radiology, endoscopy, pathology, cardiology, orthopaedics, cancer and surgery and is equipped with the latest technology.
