I had revealed Rajkhowa's plans to surrender: Gogoi

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
GUWAHATI, April 29: The arrested ULFA vice-chairman Pradip Gogoi, who denied an Army statement quoting him as saying top ULFA leaders were leading lavish life style and there were differences in the banned outfit, today claimed to have told his interrogators that ULFA chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa was willing to surrender. Official sources today claimed that Gogoi had told his interrogators that Rajkhowa had expressed his willingness to surrender sometime this year paving the way for talks between the government and ULFA.

Gogoi, however, said that ULFA self-style commander-in-chief Paresh Baruah was against holding talks. pMeanwhile, Gogoi's lawyer Nekibur Zaman said the Tuesday's Army statement quoting Gogoi as saying lavish lifestyle of ULFA leaders and about differences among the top leadership was false and he did not say these during his interrogation by the Army.
